We are seeking passionate, outgoing and friendly individuals to greet our customers at The Stockpot Norfolk . The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the restaurant industry and have a high attention to detail. This position requires a great deal of multitasking. Our restaurant is busy and fast paced, so we're looking for candidates that can work well independently, while also working well in a team setting.

Host Responsibilities:

• Give customers menus, answer questions.
• Maintain a pleasant and calm demeanor.
• Know the menu well.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Assist with running sidework (rolling silverware, polishing glasses, restocking).
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Speak politely to customers.
• Assist with light cleaning.
• Keep the restaurant looking clean and organized.
• Must have weekend availability

Server Responsibilities:

• must have strong work ethic
• be on time and dressed in uniform
• complete daily opening/closing duties and side work.
• be able to work in a close environment with other team members
• communication skills and able to multi-task for long periods at a time
• great interactions with guests
• POS experience required
• at least 2 year restaurant experience
• excellent time management skills. must be quick moving to keep up with our fast-paced kitchen.
• ability to lift at least 40 lbs on a regular basis

Host position pays $12 an hour, plus a small tip share, which equates to typically around $18 an hour. Server position pays $8.25 an hour, plus tip share, which equates to a range of $22-30 an hour. Weekends are required of this position. We expect this to be approximately 20 hours per week. Evening availability for occasional events is valued, but not required.
