The Structures Company, LLC is Hiring an Aerospace Environmental Test Technician - 2nd Shift Near Irvine, CA
- MUST BE US CITIZEN ***
As a technician, you will be responsible for environmental test processes for a wide range of components/modules and spacecraft level vibration and thermal vacuum testing. The person in this position will assist with installation of equipment; operation and maintenance of vibrations tables, vacuum chambers, and other test equipment; assisting with process documentation and controls; perform testing and certification of the test equipment. Additionally, supporting spacecraft build and testing as time allows between test scheduling.Pay: Up To $36/HRShift: 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 11pmLocation: 100% Onsite in Irvine, CADuration: 3 to 6 months. Possiblitiy for extension or contract to direct hire opportunityKey Duties And Responsibilities
- Set up and operate test equipment which may include but not be limited to vibration tables, vacuum chambers, and other test equipment.
- Performs functions that include test troubleshooting, basic equipment maintenance, coordination with test engineers, and engagement with management on daily test activities.
- Clean machines, equipment, and work areas according to site standard practices and management guidance.
- Ability to work a 2nd shift production schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 11pm.
- Flexibility to support weekends and alternate shifts.

- Thermal Vacuum chamber?
- What test tables?
- Test technician experience in the aerospace, aviation, or a similar industry in a clean room environment
- Vacuum Chamber experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in related tasks.
- Knowledge/experience in manufacturing and test processes and procedures.
- Strong ability to comprehend technical work instructions.
- Experience with drawings, shop orders, and detailed work instructions.
- Experience with test electronic, hydrostatic, and pneumatic test equipment.
- Experience with various types of gages, instruments and measuring devices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Overhead crane and rigging experience
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Non-conformance systems, Ticketed request systems and order scheduling systems
- Experience using and maintaining calibrated equipment
