- Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
- Utilizes 3D CAD tools and other design methods to create and modify designs, providing product definitions to engineering, production, suppliers, and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Integrates analytical and test results to ensure systems and components meet specifications.
- Manages supplier development and production activities to optimize design and meet program goals.
- Innovates new design processes and tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Investigates emerging technologies to conceptualize future product designs.
- Works under the guidance of technical leads and managers.
- Participates in daily team meetings to receive work packages and duties.
- Ensures quality and meets deadlines with team support.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- 5 years of related experience (Master's 3 years, PhD also considered).
- ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
