Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protectively pad and wrap items for loading in vehicles and containers
- Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment to and from vehicles and containers
- Stacking and unstacking items in vehicles and containers
- Pack and pick orders for commercial customers
- Stack and place items in warehouse racking
- Record information used in the Warehouse Management System locator function
- Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment within the warehouse
- Complete certified training as required for any material handling equipment assigned
- Comply with all safety policies and guidelines
Education/Experience:High school or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to learn and effectively use move management software, warehouse management software, timekeeping and other software applications used in the daily performance of job duties.
