JOB TITLE: Recruitment Manager

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

SALARY RANGE: Salary Commensurate with Experience

POSITION / FTE: 1.00 (Full Time Non-Exempt)

Job Purpose:

The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent to our school. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring that we have a talented and diverse workforce that aligns with our school's values and mission.

Position Requirements:

The duties and responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the school, including teachers, administrative staff, and other key positions.
  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to understand their staffing needs and develop recruitment plans to meet those needs.
  • Utilize a variety of recruitment methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals, to attract candidates.
  • Implement strategies to recruit and retain employees who will help support the school’s mission for diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, search agencies and other sources of talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Utilizes data analytics to provide recruitment and interview process guidance and screening tools to various constituents of the hiring process.
  • Regularly researches and identifies new sources for active recruiting.
  • Identifies opportunities to capture passive applicants. Regularly sources for top talent and actively engages with passive applicants to build talent pipelines for current and future openings.
  • Curiosity about the particular experience and skills required of adults who will work with adolescents in a boarding environment and the ability to screen carefully for those.
  • Develops systems to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and practices created to identify, recruit, onboard, and retain employees and adjust based on feedback.

Minimum Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet is required in all aspects of normal daily activities.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
  • Position requires excellent attention to detail, confidentiality and ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • At least 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the education sector.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
