The Tandym Group is Hiring a Credit Fund Accountant Near Greenwich, CT
A financial services company in Connecticut is actively seeking an analytical and driven professional to join their staff as a Credit Fund Accountant. In this role, the Credit Fund Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting and internal controls for lending funds. Responsibilities The Credit Fund Accountant will:
Assist in build-out of processes and internal controls to support new funds and accounts
Proactively drive process improvements, efficiency and reporting enhancements
Help oversee and manage the credit fund third party administrator relationship
Liaise with external auditors and manage audit process in completion of annual audits; interpreting relevant accounting guidance as appropriate
Perform fully redundant month-end close processes
Compute investor calls/distributions, allocations, and fees
Calculate quarterly income distributions and oversee production of capital statements and investor notices
Contribute to the production of public Qs and Ks
Satisfy investor reporting requirements and requests
Work closely with Tax, Valuation, Legal, Investor Relations, and Operations teams
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree
3-5 years of relevant experience
Experience in controls, audits, public reporting, or working with administrators/service providers
Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy
Outstanding attention to detail and committed to process and related improvements Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Desired skills
Private credit and/or BDC experience
CPA
Understanding of a loan origination or PE style/commitment based funds and various performance metrics
