Platform Engineering is part of the Architecture and Engineering team within TCW's Engineering Solutions team. This team works alongside our Chief Architect to solve increasingly complex engineering challenges. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Engineering team, you'll be working on cutting edge solutions to empower our internal developers via automation, frameworks, tooling, and custom platform solutions. This role will utilize your engineering skills to address challenges our internal developers face when providing solutions for portfolio management, analytics, and compliance. Additional responsibilities will include CI/CD automation, application security, and development tooling administration. You will also have opportunities to dive deep into software development, CI/CD, cloud technologies, and a wide variety of tools and languages.

We are seeking candidates with a passion for front-end development, microservice development, and leveraging managed services within our Azure cloud infrastructure.

Software Development: Build and maintain solutions across a variety of technology stacks including React/Typescript, .NET Core, Go, and Python.
• SecDevOps: Build and maintain solutions to empower internal development teams to leverage industry standards for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation.
• Leadership: Foster an environment that elevates engineering quality through documentation, presentations, and automation.
• Teamwork: Join an inclusive team to provide high quality solutions across all technology stacks and work together to support our internal development teams.

• Professional experience as a software developer, particularly with front-end technologies. React/Angular/CSS experience preferred.
• Experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCE) and the benefits of managed services
• Experience with SecDevOps and CI/CD, particularly GitLab/GitHub
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the financial industry

• Effective time-management skills, prioritizing deliverables that meeting the project's best interests
• Results orientated mindset with a focus on setting clear and achievable goals, addressing challenges and obstacles, and ensuring accountability

• Public Cloud Provider certification(s)
• Extensive React/Typescript web application experience
• Microservice development experience (.NET/Go)
• Linux scripting and administration
• Unit Testing
• Passion for software development best practices and high-quality solutions
• Strong interest in AI and AI integration

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $150k to $170k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
