Assistant Recruiter - School Professionals, New York City

About the Role

We are seeking an inquisitive Assistant Recruiter to join our mid-town staffing firm. The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses strong communication skills, has excellent judgement, and has an interest in high-volume recruiting.

Responsibilities Include:

· Utilizing an internal database system to review applicants and identify top talent.

· High volume screening and interviewing of applicants for our substitute teaching roles.

· Identifying, evaluating, and placing talent by exercising good decision-making skills.

· Onboarding process/credentialing of field employees (verification of references, education, medical documentation, and certification), and coding skills.

· Working with team to develop new recruitment strategies and methods.

· Use judgment as needed to match and place qualified candidates to job orders, follow up regarding assignment changes, cancellations, etc.

· Frequent communication as needed with field employees via phone and email, including temp check-ins and follow up on employee grievances and questions.

Ideal Candidate Background

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Prior experience in customer or people facing environment

· Strong communication skills by phone and email in a high-volume setting

· Possess great interpersonal skills and a positive attitude

· High degree of integrity, sense of urgency, decision making, and problem-solving skills
