Role Description
This is a full-time role for Senior Audience Editor for Sports that is based at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, but the position is also involved in our other three markets - The Advocate in Baton Rouge, The Acadiana Advocate in Lafayette and The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate. The Senior Audience Editor for Sports will be responsible for leading sports digital efforts with social media, SEO and headline writing, working closely with our audience team. The role is also expected to produce stories that generate traffic across all four markets.
Qualifications
- Sports Writing and Journalism skills
- Strong Writing proficiency
- Football coverage expertise
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
- Knowledge of digital media trends and social media platforms
