THE TOOL & GAGE HOUSE is Hiring a Calibration Technician Near Corinth, MS

Our organization is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician for our expanding team. The ideal candidate should have experience with calibrating instruments and equipment, creating calibration plans, and maintaining calibration records. A successful candidate can prioritize tasks, adhere to company policies, and always maintain proper documentation. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced environment, scheduled Monday-Friday. Overtime is scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Calibration Technician is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is calibrated promptly and meets the quality standards set by the organization. The ideal candidate will have an interest in both the technical and administrative aspects of this position, and be detail-oriented, experienced, and eager to join a growing team. Technicians working in this position must be able to lift and work with torque tools up to 50 lbs.
Some of the duties of the torque technician are (but are not limited to):
  • Performing calibration and quality assurance checks on equipment.
  • Updating calibration records.
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Observing and analyzing the output of equipment.
  • Providing troubleshooting and assistance with online calls.
  • Working with instruments and equipment to ensure the proper functioning of measurement systems.
  • Performing minor tool repairs.
  • Cross-training with the calibration department on gage calibration (ID mics, OD mics, calipers, etc.)
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good arithmetic skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • 1 years of Quality Control experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments: i.e., click wrenches, calipers, OD micrometers, ID micrometers, etc. a plus.
  • General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word.
