Posting is open through July 1st @ noon. SUMMARYResponsible for facility management, registration coordination, rental/reservation management, front-line staff supervision, financial/accounting supervision, as well as departmental operational assistance and coordination.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Supervises Northside Park facility during scheduled hours to include: program/event/rental operation and supervision, maintenance of facility, customer service, cash accounting, deposit preparation and submission, oversees credit card reconciliation, financial resolution, receipting and registering for programs and events, computer administration and reporting, facility security, first aid administration, program set-up and breakdown, site administration.Coordinates and supervises private and internal reservations for all recreation sites. Responsible for customer care, communication, paperwork, revenue collection, safety, staffing, inter-city department coordination, follow-up and reporting in support of this function.Researches, compiles and prepares statistical reports as needed.Assists in the preparation of the department budget and monitors its annual use. Approves the purchase of facility operational and maintenance supplies, annual departmental maintenance contracts (HVAC, pest control, carpet cleaning, ice machines, fire suppression system, etc.), contractual needs, etc. Assures contracts are appropriately managed and projects completed.Provides operational assistance as required (may include copying, typing, calling customers, distributing information, etc.)Maintains lost and found and other departmental inventories.Responsible for the maintenance of all office equipment, copiers, phones, fax machine, etc.Responsible for selection, maintenance and upgrade of Recreation software programs, as well as staff training and program data upgrades. Responsible for the management of the Dog Playground, including but not limited to program solving, coordinating maintenance requirements, issuing passes, preparing reports, passholder communications and marketing.Responsible for setting automatic door openings and closings daily and managing ID card activations.Assures information is appropriately displayed and available for customer pick-up. Maintains all departmental brochures and publications. Creates, maintains and updates all NSP facility bulletin boards. Assists in the planning and coordination of department activities and functions including, but not limited to, emergency shelter supervision and all private reservations at Northside Park and in park facilities.Assists in the evaluation and improvement of departmental operations and services. Prepares and recommends departmental procedures in support of this.
