Job Title: General Accountant
Reports To: General Manager and Corporate Finance
Job Summary: Perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. Responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting and state regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for the month-end closing process.
· Prepare and review GAAP financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
· Conduct thorough analyses of financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
· Coordinate the accounts payable process with the managers and remit documentation to Corporate for processing.
· Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for Management.
· Process member payments by check, ACH draft, wire transfer, or credit card.
· Obtain human resources/payroll reporting information for submission to Corporate for processing. May be required to assist in new hire onboarding.
· Prepare and reconcile monthly entries into the POS including Member Note Interest, Spending Credit, Tournament Allocations, Event Deposits, and Nonrefundable Deposits.
Maintain member account information in POS including email address, billing information, member privilege, and spending minimums.
· Communicate changes in fixed assets to Corporate and provide required documentation to support the activity.
· Compute and remit non-income tax filings and annual license renewals to the proper government agencies.
· Prepare budgets/forecasting requests per Management’s request.
· Assist with compiling information for internal/external audits as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments to support overall organizational goals.
· Other responsibilities include various daily/monthly reconciliations, overseeing inventory counts, custodian of petty cash, ad hoc reporting, etc.
Position Prerequisites/Preferences/Certifications/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university.
· Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role, with at least 2 years of progressive experience.
· Solid understanding of US GAAP.
· Self-motivated individual with the ability to meet project deliverables.
· Strong leadership skills with an ability to work well within a team structure.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
· Excellent organizational, decision-making, and research skills.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
· Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
