Job Summary: The Accountant I prepares, reconciles, and audits budgets under general supervision. Prepares financial reports, invoices, schedules, and/or statements. Completes journal entries. Reviews, analyzes, and approves expenditures. Determines fund balances. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, University policies, and procedures.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related financial field.
Skills and Knowledge: General knowledge of GAAP accounting standards.
Preferred Qualifications: Real estate accounting experience. Knowledge of rental/leasing software. Higher education experience. Advanced knowledge of Concur and Banner Finance.
