The position is designated to provide informal resolution of harassment and discrimination matters and relationship conflict/dispute resolution options for the University community which includes student, staff, faculty, and other employees.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Conflict Management and Informal Resolution for the Equal Opportunity Office (“EOO”) is responsible for serving as a facilitator of conflict resolution concerning issues related to Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972, the ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other applicable EEO and nondiscrimination laws. The Associate Director of Conflict Management and Informal Resolution will also conduct regular training sessions for UGA employees and students regarding positive and productive conflict resolution skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution of higher education with at least five years of substantive legal experience that directly relates to the position.
