The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a 100% Medical Assistant II (40 hours per week) to work at our Urology Northgate Medicine Clinic. University of Iowa Health Care's specialty clinic provides a convenient location for medical and surgical care for male and female patients, and selected services for pediatric patients.
Our team develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. That specialist will consult the same medical record your family medicine provider has been keeping for you, so your specialty care is streamlined.
Our medical assistant'saccompany the physicians or medical providers into the examination rooms in order to transcribe the clinician’s and care team’s encounter with the patients in real time. They accurately and thoroughly document the encounter with our patients as it is being performed by the providers, which may include documentation in the following sections: problem list, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan, procedures and treatments performed by team, patient education, orders, medications, referrals, explanations of risks and benefits, and instructions for self-care and follow-up.

Percent of Time: 100% (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday - Friday; standard hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Location: Iowa City, IA (occasional travel to other clinical locations within a 2 hour radius)
Pay Grade: 9 https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/merit-plan
Salary: $39090.40 - $58059.20/ Hourly: $18.65 - $27.70 (based on years of experience)
