The University of Kansas is Hiring a Student Hourly - Sport Club Supervisor Near Lawrence, KS
Position Overview The Sport Club Supervisor reports to the Assistant Director Sport Clubs and Sport Club Program Managers. Supervisors will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Sport Club Program, including: event management, practice supervision, office coverage, data collection, risk management, implementing policies and procedures, and equipment inventory. Attend all mandatory staff training sessions and staff meetings 5%
Provide home event coverage (games, practices, seminars, tournaments, etc.) includes evening and weekends. 70%
Responding to emergency situations 5%
Provide conflict resolution at events or between clubs 5%
Enforce all policies and procedures 7%
Assist in all Sport Club Program initiatives, including club training sessions and meetings 3%
Remain current in all CPR/AED skills. Will be required to pass on the spot testing for these skills
Must be available to work some weekdays, weeknights, and weekends (10 – 15 hours per week)
Possess a general knowledge of sports
Must be a self-motivated individual who shows initiative and does not need constant supervision
Genuine interest in serving students
A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher
Must have a current Drivers license
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.

Excellent leadership skills
Experience in coordinating and supervising events Ability to provide positive customer service and conflict resolution
Demonstrated knowledge of advising/supervising organizations and/or individuals
Possess effective communication and organizational skills
Awareness of safety concerns and risk management Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within one month of employment.
