Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus
Shift: Full -Time - (40hrs.) Days, evenings, nights (depending on availability) flexible shift, on call rotational coverage and weekends may be needed
Work Location: University of Miami Hospital - Diagnostics Radiology Imaging Services UTower
1. Verify the patient's ID by checking their name and date of birth.
2. Ask patient to describe level of comfort or evidence of pain - prior, during and at the completion of the exam.
3. Always obtain necessary consents.
4. Always inform patient and/or patient's family of procedure to be performed.
5. Perform diagnostic imaging studies under the directions/supervision of a Radiologist, using age appropriate standards of practice.
6. Notify appropriate person of any change(s) in patient status.
7. Perform procedures in a safe manner, i.e., perform venipunctures and contrast administration, etc.
8. Maintain proper sterile techniques for procedures; regularly practice aseptic technique and strictly obeys isolation and infection control procedures, prevent cross contamination during procedures, i.e., gloves, gown, mask, eye protection and hand washing.
9. Assist the radiologist throughout the procedure with all the necessary supplies until completion of the exam.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program.
Certification and Licensing: Must possess a valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer. ARRT registered with ARRT certification in primary modality required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
