This position provides support to the operations of the Office of Study Abroad by advising students on study abroad opportunities and processing applications.
Conducts general and program-specific outreach efforts. Assists in the maintenance of the Office of Study Abroad’s application and student engagement portal.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts study abroad outreach efforts through social media and newsletter content creation and distribution, study abroad fairs, presentations, tabling, and class visits.
Assists in the maintenance of the Office of Study Abroad’s application and student engagement portal, Terra Dotta.
Advises and prepares students for their programs from pre-decision through re-entry; processes student applications; enrolls students in credit abroad courses;
verifies pre-departure payments in SOAR; and ensures completion of post-program evaluations for an assigned portfolio of programs.
Enrolls all program participants in the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) and international insurance.
Assists faculty leaders with the flow of student information, program-specific outreach events, informational sessions, and program-specific orientation planning for an assigned portfolio of programs.
Assists with general student pre-departure orientations.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, tourism, languages, international studies or a related field and one year’s experience working in an education abroad setting.
Prior study abroad experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree from an accredited university in business, marketing, tourism, languages, international studies or a related field and at least two year’s-experience working in an education abroad setting.
Experience working with Terra Dotta Software and the ability to communicate in a foreign language.
