Salary Range: $40,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Job Summary
The Program Coordinator shall administer and coordinate grant research projects and/or programs within the Center for Simulation, Visualization, and Real-Time Prediction.
Core Responsibilities
  1. Use initiative and independent judgment to relieve one or more administrators of administrative matters and decisions pertaining to assigned programs and projects. Assists administrators in establishing and attaining departmental goals and objectives.
  2. Collects data from various sources and analyzes for accuracy, completeness, and relevance. Prepares complex, statistical, technical, financial, and confidential reports, charts, and graphs.
  3. Maintains tracking and reporting to monitor program and participant results. Provides data and progress status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university levels, and assists in the maintenance of internal controls to protect student information and program reporting.
  4. Develops and manages program budgets, ensuring program accounts remain within budget. Performs account reconciliations. Creates and processes electronic documents such as purchase orders, reimbursements, and travel.
  5. Coordinates the implementation of programs. Researches new program ideas.
  6. Distributes program materials; Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program. Edits speeches, memoranda, reports, and proposed publications.
  7. Responsible for assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation.
  8. Proposes, evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs.
  9. Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design, which may include grant development and submission.
  10. Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
  11. Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
  12. Produces and distributes program materials.
  13. Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program.
  14. Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements.
  15. Makes recommendations to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission.
  16. Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/ participant progress and results.
  17. Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university personnel.
  18. Creates reports to reflect student progress and program levels, assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting.
  19. Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
  20. Promotes an environment of safety and protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
  21. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with students and/or other groups to plan and coordinate activities and programs.
  • Knowledge of all standard office equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Information
  • This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant funded, temporary position for up to four years contingent upon funding and department need.

Working Conditions
  • Office environment.
  • Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
  • Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will be primarily located on campus with some opportunities for remote work. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
