Position: Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) - Cardiology

Location: Porter Cardiology, Middlebury, VT & Ticonderoga, NY

The University of Vermont Health Network - Porter Cardiology is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves providing top-tier health care in a general outpatient cardiology practice, coupled with responsibilities for inpatient rounding. Positioned in scenic Middlebury, VT with monthly services in Ticonderoga, NY, this role is perfect for professionals seeking to make a significant impact in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver comprehensive outpatient cardiology services.

- Participate in inpatient rounding as required.

- Collaborate closely with a team of three physicians and an exemplary clinical staff.

- Manage patient care for varying states of health and illness.

- Perform daily echocardiograms and stress tests.

About Porter Medical Center:

- A 25-bed critical access hospital and the second largest employer in the county.

- Offers an extensive range of services, including a 10-12 bed Emergency Department with around 10,000 visits annually.

- Located in proximity to Middlebury College and surrounded by Vermont's natural beauty, providing an excellent quality of life with year-round recreational activities.

Ideal Candidate:

- Motivated and autonomous with a passion for cardiology.

- Prior experience in cardiology as an NP or PA is preferred.

- Holds current BLS and ACLS certifications.

- Possesses an active state license in good standing.

Employment Details:

- Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

- Work schedule: 4 days per week with 10-hour shifts.

- No on-call duties or weekend shifts.

- Involves some inpatient responsibilities.
