JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Unit Secretary is responsible for the secretarial aspects of the nursing unit. She/he acts as a support person to the nursing staff and other members of the health care team for indirect aspects of patient care. This position functions as a pivotal communication link between the health care team, other departments and patients and families.
This position will have a schedule that is 20 hours/week and the schedule would be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday one week and Monday and Thursday the next. The hours are 5:30am-2pm.
EDUCATION:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous employment in an office or health care environment.
