Data Management Specialist

Posting Summary
Ensure data for oncology clinical trials is accurate, complete, and entered in a timely manner, so that data generated for publication is valid, high-quality, reliable, and statistically sound. Work closely with and provide user support to all clinical trials research and administrative staff, including the Principal Investigator (PI), Clinical Research Coordinators ( CRC ), Research Advance Practice Provider ( RAPP ), Data Coordinators (DC), Regulatory Coordinator (RC) and Biostatistician. Prioritize and specify product enhancements and requirements to Forte Research personnel. Serve as the central point of contact in the absence of the Oncore CTMS Supervisor. Maintain congruence between local CTMS and National Cancer Institute ( NCI ) databases. Develop, validate, amend, and analyze electronic case report forms (eCRF) in accordance with the protocol. Report on the study progress as it relates to Investigator Initiated Trial ( IIT ) data and the Data Safety Monitoring Committee ( DSMC ).
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree and three to five years of related data management experience required. Experience with or demonstrated ability to learn federal regulations and guidelines, ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced, regulated environment, and ability to work collaboratively with Investigators and staff required. Effective written communication, editorial skills, and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and related computer applications required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with OnCore CTMS highly desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range

$50,000-$65000

Other Information
A four-month probationary period is required.
Special Conditions

External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
