Job Description:

Located conveniently at 36th St. N and Hartford in North Tulsa, our clinic provides exceptional, patient-centered care across all ages and medical needs. From primary care services encompassing family medicine and women’s health to specialized outpatient care, our nurses play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality healthcare. Collaborating closely with a diverse interdisciplinary healthcare team, including social workers, our nurses ensure a seamless continuity and excellence in patient care. Responsibilities span a wide spectrum, from facilitating prescription refills and administering immunizations to assisting with lab and diagnostic orders, conducting triage, and rooming patients. Additionally, our nurses assist with bedside procedures and promptly address patient inquiries via phone calls.

Representative Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patient for examination by the physician by having charts ready, etc.
  • Takes and records various readings such as heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, weight, body temperature, etc. Collects samples from patients including blood, urine, etc. Prepares samples for analysis or shipment. Collects all laboratory reports, data, and records.
  • . Makes follow up patient appointments, or follows up on patient appointments. Answers routine questions from patients, family, etc.
  • Under direction of physician or other medical personnel, administers medication to patients.
  • To include booking operating rooms, ordering surgical supplies and arranging for all preoperative laboratory studies for patients.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Proficient nursing skills applicable to this position.
  • Must be proficient in typing.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty, other staff, and patients.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to follow patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA) guidelines.

Required Education:

  • HS/GED; graduate of an approved Practical Nurse training program; or a recent graduate or a student nurse who will be graduating within 4-6 weeks

Required Licensure:

  • Must have a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the State of Oklahoma; or in the case of a recent or upcoming graduate, be eligible to obtain a license within 30 days of job interview.

Physical Requirements:

  • Outpatient medical environment and exposure dependent upon assignment. The essential functions of this position will involve mobility (walking; being able to stand for long periods of time during patient exams/procedures, etc.). Dependent upon assignment, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in the function of patient positioning and assistance.
