Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Golf Shop Merchandise Assistant. In this role, you will support the retail operations by assisting with merchandise management, inventory control, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in receiving and processing merchandise shipments.
• Ensure accurate labeling, tagging, and pricing of merchandise.
• Maintain organized and visually appealing displays according to seasonal promotions and golf events.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular stock counts.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations based on their needs.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with the retail team to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Keep the retail area clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
• Assist in preparing for and executing promotional events and sales campaigns.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, cash handling, and customer service.

Requirements:

• Previous retail experience, preferably in a golf shop or sports retail environment, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel brands, and accessories is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
