The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is Hiring a SR MANAGER - PATCH MANAGEMENT - (ON - SITE) Near Las Vegas, NV

Position Overview:The primary responsibility of the Sr Manager – Patch Management is to oversee a team of engineers responsible for software updates, patching, vulnerability remediation, and deployment package creation within our Enterprise environment. This role requires expertise in utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for patch management and software deployment, as well as the ability to create and maintain operating system images for desktops and laptops.
The Senior Manager – Patch Management will also help develop future strategy for rollout and maintenance of Enterprise endpoints. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all team assigned incidents and service request tickets are completed with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Management of assigned staff includes hiring, training, coaching, performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling; or managing business initiatives leveraging 3rd party resources (i.e., inter departmental, vendors, contractors).
  • Deploy the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for network patch management, distribution, and compliance.
  • Ensure that device patching is planned, assessed thoroughly, and deployed with minimum service disruption while meeting Information Technology and Cyber Security standards.
  • Work with inter-disciplinary teams for secure reliable system implementations and upgrades.
  • Validate success of deployment solutions and communicate updates to senior management.
  • Train, mentor, and collaborate with other departments to develop technology roadmaps.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to optimize the speed and quality of delivery services.
  • Deploy applications and security patches with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Drive the transition towards just-in-time provisioning using Microsoft AutoPilot and manage patching via Microsoft InTune. Lead the team in adopting modern provisioning methodologies to streamline deployment processes and enhance user experience.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for the integration of mobile device management (MDM) into the team. Possess knowledge of MDM technologies and demonstrate readiness to oversee the management of mobile devices within the enterprise environment.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure efficient and effective patch management operations. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to foster professional growth and development.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of deployment design, security and access standards, configurations, procedures and troubleshooting methods.
  • Troubleshoot client health and installation issues.
  • Manage the configuration of complex maintenance windows to ensure minimal downtime to shared services and applications.
  • Understand and abide by Incident, Problem and change management processes and procedures.
  • Create and deliver reports pertaining to endpoint security and compliance.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:Minimum Qualifications
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy .
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 5 years of experience in system administration including knowledge of with the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, group policy processing and unattended (silent) installations of Windows operating systems.
  • 5 years of experience in SCCM to deploy Windows OS patches.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications preferred.
  • CompTIA Security , ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications preferred.
  • Experience with using Flexera Admin Studio, Install Shield, or other Enterprise Packaging Software.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of key Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes – Continuous Improvement, Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Service Request Management .
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with modern provisioning technologies such as Microsoft AutoPilot
  • Strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM) principles and practices.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent are a plus.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to:
  • Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel .
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
