We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Manager to oversee the maintenance, administration, and secure operation of company's network infrastructure. As a Network Manager, you will lead a team of network engineers and administrators, ensuring the stability and integrity of our network services. You will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of network systems to meet the organization's current and future needs.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
● 5 to 7 years of experience in networking and system administration
● Extensive expertise in Microsoft Windows environments, Cisco, local and wide area networks, and security
● Previous network management experience required
Preferred Skills:
● Strong understanding and experience with SANs, backup systems, disaster recovery, and emergency preparedness
● Network certifications in Cisco (CCNA or CCNP) and Microsoft Windows Server
Responsibilities:
● Manage and lead the Network section staff
● Oversee the network infrastructure including LAN and WAN
● Maintain all County systems servers
● Collaborate with the cyber security team to ensure network security
● Administer, maintain, and upgrade all County servers
● Maintain connectivity devices on LAN and WAN, including hubs, switches, routers, and cabling
● Administer and maintain County's server infrastructure, SANs, backup systems, and data recovery
● Manage County's email servers, email archive systems, and web servers
● Coordinate with State agencies and other jurisdictions for network connections
● Implement network policies, procedures, and standards
● Identify, analyze, and procure new equipment for network, servers, and storage
● Assist in developing IT budget and capital expenditure plans
● Oversee contracts for network managed services and professional services
● Support video production of County meetings
● Stay updated on PC/Networking, cyber security, and general IT developments
● Ensure timely response to help desk tickets, including for supervised staff
● Perform capacity and resource planning, assess network risks, and plan contingencies
● Maintain County Disaster Recovery Plan and Continuity Plan, coordinating with the cyber security team
