Job DescriptionOur Southeast region works on a wide variety of interesting projects which provides the ability to work on a broad range of complex environmental issues. This is a great opportunity to continue to develop your project and client management expertise under the guidance of senior level management.
Environmental Scientists conduct due diligence assessments and remediation project tasks and may assist more senior colleagues with management tasks including proposal preparation and project management.
  • Conduct and prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other environmental reports
  • Conduct and prepare Phase II field investigation activities, and environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air)
  • Write detailed ESA reports including the preparation of accurate data/summary tables and/or figures
  • Assist senior managers in the coordination of work activities for multiple project functions to ensure satisfying delivery
  • Assist senior managers in the meeting milestones, budgetary limits, deadlines, or other performance indicators
  • Assist in the selection and/or management of project staff members and subcontractors
  • Prepare and implement Health and Safety Plans/Job Safety Analyses for sites.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related environmental field required
  • 2 years of professional of experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects, contaminated site characterization investigations (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air), and/or implementation of remediation programs
  • Experience with collection of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air sampling required
  • Working knowledge of ASTM Phase I/II ESA standards, state environmental regulations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Able to perform multiple tasks and handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite required. Familiarity with CAD and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs a plus
  • Ability/willingness for frequent regional travel with some national travel for field work. Valid driver’s license is required
Additional InformationThis is a hybrid role and can report into any one of our Florida office locations: Tampa, Ft Lauderdale, or Jacksonville Beach.
Physical requirements include ability to walk job sites during inspections, sometimes on uneven terrain and carry field testing equipment (up to 30 pounds) onto job sites with regularity.
