The Village of Arts and Humanities is seeking a seasonal teaching artist to assist in our summer youth theater intensive.
The Teaching Artist is responsible for leading project based learning opportunities in their chosen field during each session. This requires the ability to prepare lessons that teach core skills related to the art form or medium as well as skills related to behavior/character development. In addition, the Teaching Artist is responsible for orienting students to the studio, general classroom management, completing incentive logs, lesson plans, requesting supplies, supply inventory, classroom prep, classroom clean up and storage. Each session, the Village of Arts and Humanities invites parents, families and friends to celebrate student accomplishments at our Showcase. Teaching artists assist in preparing interns, displaying artwork, setting up, managing interns, documentation and generally assisting throughout this day.
