Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Architect to join our team, reporting to the Manager of Data Platforms. As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the foundational architecture for our data ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with our business intelligence and software development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and high-performance data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain our data architecture to support current and future business needs, encompassing both OLAP and OLTP systems.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, warehousing, integration, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the lifecycle.
• Explore and assess technologies for our data stack, prioritizing Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Python, and remaining open to other comparable solutions that align with our needs.
• Lead the implementation of data pipelines and workflows using modern orchestration tools.
• Develop and implement a data governance strategy, selecting tooling and integrating governance into the data platform architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative, data-driven culture.
• Understand customer needs and business objectives to design and implement effective data solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest data technology and industry trends, incorporating new technologies as appropriate.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven track record as a Data Architect or in similar roles, demonstrating expertise in designing and implementing complex data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools.
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Skilled in managing large datasets and building data pipelines.
• Exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Capable of managing teams and projects, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Detail-oriented with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about data-driven decision-making.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and infrastructure, including data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and techniques.
• Possesses a "do-what-it-takes" attitude, prioritizing action and problem-solving.
