Searchlight Pictures is seeking a dynamic hard-working individual passionate about cinema and learning about the impact of marketing/publicity in the international marketplace.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the international publicity team on all press events/activities (press days, junkets, tours, film festivals, awards, screenings, set visits, photo shoots, etc.) from planning to execution for both theatrical and streaming film titles
  • Create and/or update talent schedules and publicity timelines for each film
  • Coordinate travel and logistics for publicity events/activities, including any visas required for talent and entourage to travel internationally
  • Negotiate glam (groomer/styling) rates for talent/filmmakers, within approved budget
  • Draft call for nominations and handle all press confirmations
  • Help create and manage all international publicity budgets
  • Collate and distribute international press breaks, reviews, and coverage highlight reports
  • Research work and brainstorm on our publicity strategy for each title
  • Responsible for upload and distribution of international publicity materials (photography, TV generics, Print Generics, etc.)
  • Update and distribute department documents including materials grid, publicity calendar, awards grid
  • Book screenings or handle distribution of screening links
  • Create and maintain film contact sheets and email distribution lists
  • Administrative duties including scheduling meetings, expense reports, etc.
  • Process all department invoices and help on-board vendors
  • Work closely with Contingent Workforce Management team to ensure that all vendors and short term engagements are properly vetted and contracts/agreements are drafted accordingly
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years administrative experience supporting senior management level within entertainment industry with an emphasis on Publicity
  • Flexibility to travel and work weekends as requested
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines make decisions, and change course of action quickly
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to work on many projects simultaneously
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
  • Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
The hiring range for this position in California is $51,300 to $66,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
