The Walt Disney Company is Hiring a Project Scheduler-Construction Near Buena Vista, FL

Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC) is a business entity within Walt Disney World that provides Construction Management and General Contracting expertise to support facility, show and ride enhancements, and refurbishments. The Project Scheduler is responsible for producing various levels of construction schedules in support of pre-construction and implementation. The Project Scheduler will assist in the change management effort developing schedules for pending items and change orders including analysis of any detailed sub-contractor labor efforts.
You will report to Manager, Business Management and Project Controls, Buena Vista Construction Company.
Responsibilities/You Will
  • Generate critical path method schedules from conceptual design, design development and construction documents for bidding of facility/attraction/show & ride modifications, renovations, and new construction.
  • Evaluate schedules from prospective sub-contractors.
  • Present schedule approach in group settings with construction management, field operations and estimating teams.
  • Participate in pre-construction reviews and provide schedule as needed.
  • Perform in field construction progress analysis, time activity to risk with mitigation and associated production reporting. Analyze schedule delay and acceleration.
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
  • 1 years of experience in scheduling and/or, estimating
  • Proven knowledge and experience in level of effort scheduling for general construction including some experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Some experience in performing labor resource production approaches.
  • Experience using construction scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials and the ability to interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to structure, organize, and effectively utilize items within a database
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, effective in relationship building with teams, sub-contractors, and venders
  • Demonstrated compassion and commitment to diversity and inclusion, including inviting diverse perspectives, supporting an inclusive work environment, and supporting workforce diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Primavera P6 is preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university in Architecture, Engineering, Business, or Construction Management or equivalent experience is required.
