The Walt Disney Company is Hiring a Workforce Strategy Project Manager Near Buena Vista, FL

Are you passionate about driving strategy, optimization, and integration in a dynamic environment? Do you have strong project management, facilitation, and storytelling skills? Do you want to be part of a team that supports the Disney Experiences (DX) HR function and our fellow Cast, Guests, and business through projects, integration, and consultancy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a HR Workforce Strategy Project Manager.
In this role, you will lead integration efforts in a variety of large-scale strategic segment and Enterprise projects/ initiatives with a cross-functional focus to improve how HR supports our Cast, Guests, and evolving business models. You will also support the development, socialization, and implementation of strategies for HR within DX. You will work with multiple collaborators across different business units and teams, including leaders at a variety of levels. You will use data and metrics to advise recommendations and drive decision making. You will also facilitate work sessions and other discovery meetings with leaders across the org to build expertise, uncover opportunities, and drive consensus.

Responsibilities:Support Programmatic Strategy Efforts
  • Lead and refine program and project frameworks with cross-functional teams
  • Deliver large scale programs with minimum supervision with a focus on project planning, achievement tracking, issue identification, partner management and change management
  • Project lead multiple large-scale projects with varying levels of urgency and complexity, ensuring clear communication and outstanding execution of plans
  • Build and maintain project plans, outlining clear deliverables and working with key partners to keep project on schedule and always apply a lens for process improvement and efficiency opportunities
Support HR Workforce Strategy Workstreams Through Compelling Storytelling
  • Excel at motivating change and decision making through compelling storytelling and presentation of data and information to senior executives
  • Serve in a critical influence and integration role across multiple business units and teams
  • Communicate, partner with, align, and influence executives, leaders, peers and partners to support HR transformation programs and plans
  • Understand data and metrics with ability to translate into digestible content to enable decision making
  • Ability to take multiple, sophisticated concepts and distill into simple and actionable content
Impact Compelling Change and Growth
  • Facilitate work sessions with leaders of varying levels to build expertise and drive consensus
  • Effectively write, prepare, and build project documents, presentations, and business updates
  • Communicate ongoing initiative-related updates and timely, relevant information to key collaborators
  • Develop authentic relationships and influence across partner group
  • Approach work objectively, asking tough questions, and learning from external outstanding partners – while balancing our Disney values
Basic Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in fields related to Project Management, Strategy, HR, Process Improvement, Facilitation, Transformation, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
  • Great teammate who quickly builds trust and collaborative working relationships with business leaders and partners across many groups and geographies
  • Superior organizational and process skills, as demonstrated by an ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects to achieve goals and objectives
  • Be a role model and enable a culture of belonging, equity and inclusion as a key tenant to supporting our hard-working team and creating impactful partnerships with key partners
  • Self-starter, acts independently and recognizes when projects need to involve additional partners and decision makers and a demonstrated ability to customize solutions to the context and needs of the organization(s)
  • Exceptional project management, planning, and analytic skills
  • Strong integration, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills to include presentation and report design and production
  • Ability to self-manage and work effectively with remote leaders and partners around the globe (with varying time zones)
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion including inviting different perspectives, fostering an inclusive work environment and supporting workforce diversity
  • Experience with supporting technology system implementations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of HR and related functional area business processes and systems
  • Passion for external/futurist research compilation
  • Experience facilitating groups through work sessions or trainings
  • Experience with business transformation, process redesign, and optimization
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and change management tactics
  • Solid knowledge of Disney businesses, policies, and procedures
The hiring range for this position in California is $106,600.00-$130,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
