Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Services Technician to join our team. As a Field Services Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of various equipment including power tools commonly used in landscape/garden work, mowers, edgers, power tools, commercial irrigation, snow blowers skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks.

Essential Job Functions:

Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
Decorate areas with stones, flowers or plants.
Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas to keep people from falling.
Gather and remove litter and debris.
Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other community grounds features.
Perform landscaper and building maintenance duties.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any signs of damage, wear, or malfunction.
Operate equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
Provide training and guidance to less experienced as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of mechanical systems, power tools, equipment and basic construction preferred.
At least one year’s experience as landscaper, gardener or similar work
Experience with power tools commonly used in landscape/garden work, including mowers, edgers, power tools and snow blowers.
Communication – Ability to listen, understand, ask questions to clarify and explain processes. Ability to talk with others to receive and share information, with focus on problem solving.
Use logic and reasoning to find solutions to problems and independently initiate solutions.

Must be at least 18 years old, able to prove the ability to legally work in U.S.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Valid driver's license
Proven experience working with skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks, with a strong understanding of their operation and maintenance requirements.
Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively in various weather and terrain conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay:

The pay for this position ranges from $18 to $24 per hour, depending on experience and proficiency with equipment maintenance. Additional compensation may be available for certifications or specialized skills.
