Purpose of Role: The program will consist of weekly theory classes and hands on application at a variety of machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Motivated Learner: Dynamic self-starter who wants to learn, through both on the job training as well as schooling, to operate precision machines.
• Operating NC and CNC: Working with experienced CNC Machinist, the apprentice will be trained to operate NC, CNC machine parts from .50 inch diameter to 50 inch diameter.
• Health and Safety Protocols: Responsible for Safety, Health, and Environment management and policy commitments as prescribed for this role in Weir's Duty of Care.
• Precision gear operations: Learn to operate precision gear cutter and grinders.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Required to be enrolling or currently enrolled in PMT program.
