THE WHITESTONE GROUP is Hiring a Personnel Security Specialist- Top Secret Clearance Near Washington, DC

The Whitestone Group Inc. is an industry leading security company providing services to the U.S. Government with an international presence. The company is currently seeking to hire a Security Personnel Specialist Administrator for a federal contract.

Position must meet the following:

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • $40.00/hour $4.80 H&W (Union position increasing to $42.00/hour on 10/1/2024)
  • Perform personnel security and industrial security functions to support personnel security at a government facility
  • Perform duties as outlined in the government-provided SOP, Post Orders, and Administrative Security Desk Book
  • Conduct NCIC in accordance with GAO/JUST IAA and instructions provided in SOPs
  • Determine who needs investigated and the type of investigation needed
  • Determine if there is an existing investigation that already satisfies the needs and, if so, order a copy of it
  • Establish records in a personnel security database (i.e., CMS) to track the investigation through the process
  • Initiate investigation request actions in NBIS for employees and contractors
  • Notify the employee and contractor that he/she is required to complete the PSQ
  • Monitor the progress of the action in NIBS, following up with the employee and contractor as necessary to ensure he/she completes the PSQ in a timely manner
  • Review the PSQ for completeness
  • Ensure that all required forms, pertinent to the type of investigation, are included with the investigation package
  • Track the progress of the request to ensure it is received and accepted by the investigation service provider and the investigation is started and completed
  • Familiar with Federal access control policies, procedures, and systems
  • Ability to display courtesy while meeting, greeting, and dealing with the public and speak proficiently with a variety of audiences, including foreign officials with a limited command of the English language (abilities to be displayed in face-to-face and telephonic communications)
  • Skills in interacting with U.S. and foreign industry and public sector executive officials and familiarity with foreign customs to ensure the courteous reception of senior foreign visitors.
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control in all situations, especially situations that are stressful.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain security files in proper alphabetic, numeric, and chronological order.
  • Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to give verbal guidance, direction, and assistance in a clear and intelligible manner and the use of computers, word-processing and software packages used by GAO
  • Ability to display courtesy while meeting, greeting, and dealing with federal employees.
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control in all situations, especially situations that are stressful.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain security files in proper alphabetic, numeric, and chronological order.
  • Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to give verbal guidance, direction, and assistance in a clear and intelligible manner and the use of computers, word-processing and software packages used by the government
