The Windjammer is now hiring for kitchen staff for our busy summer beach season. Looking for both line cooks and prep cooks. (Dishwashers and Stewards too)
Our menu ranges from soups, salads, nachos to burgers, tacos, wings and dinner menu with steaks and fish entrees. Experience preferred but not required. Will train the right candidates. LINE COOKS – RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING THE ENTIRE MENU, COOKING ITEMS TO ORDER, FOLLOWING RESTAURANT RECIPES, MAINTAINING A CLEAN WORK AREA, ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, ABILITY TO WORK AS A TEAM IN A SMALL KITCHEN THAT PUTS OUT AN ASTOUNDING NUMBER OF PLATES DURING PEAK TIMES. ADDITIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE. MENU RANGES FROM SALADS AND CHOWDER TO STEAK AND FISH ENTREES. LOTS OF BURGERS, FRENCH FRIES AND TOTS TOO. SEASONAL AND YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS. FULL TIME AND PART TIME. SHIFTS 10AM TO 5PM AND 5PM TO 10PM. STARTING $16/HR TO $24/HR BASED ON EXPERIENCE
DISHWASHER / KITCHEN STEWARD – RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING AND SANITIZING TRAYS, POTS, PANS ETC DURING THE SHIFT. LINE TRAYS WITH PAPER. HELP WITH PREP DUTIES AND RESTOCKING COMMONLY USED INGREDIENTS. ASSIST IN RECEIVING DELIVERIES, ORGANIZATION OF FREEZERS AND STOREROOMS. MUST BE ABLE TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. SEASONAL AND YEAR-ROUND POSITION. FULL OR PART TIME. SHIFTS 10AM TO 5PM AND 5PM TO 10PM. STARTING @$16/HR
