Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to drive the Sales & Events efforts of our Marriott award winning recently renovated Sheraton Hotel in Reston, VA. As a member of the hotels executive leadership team, the Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy for the hotel.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management within the hospitality industry, will possess strong leadership skills, have Marriott brand experience, and a commitment to drive sales and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate clients, group bookings, and event planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Oversee the sales team, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with the hotel's policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Director of Sales within the hotel industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with industry software and tools.
