Job description

We’re looking for QMAs with a compassionate mindset and a passion for helping seniors. A self-starter with enthusiasm and initiative. This team member loves caring for patients and knows how to develop lasting trust. Could this be you?

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families.
  • Educate patients and families about health care maintenance.
  • Observe and report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with geriatric care needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) by the state.
  • Preference for Insulin Certified
  • Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
  • Skilled at tackling numerous tasks and making quick decisions.
  • Can foster good resident and family relationships.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
  • A passion for working with elderly residents.
  • Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility is a plus, but not required.
