The Mercyhurst University Department of Physician Assistant Studies invites applications for a full-time, 12-month principal faculty position. Responsibilities include working closely with senior faculty to ensure the program meets and exceeds the accreditation standards set forth by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA); preparing physician assistant students to be leaders in the profession; being proficient in meeting the challenges of healthcare; and providing compassionate, quality care to the diverse communities in which they serve. The principal faculty position also includes providing the opportunity to be involved primarily in the clinical education phase of the program but supporting the didactic education phase with teaching in areas of clinical and/or professional expertise. The candidate will also participate in ongoing program assessment and evaluation, advising, and departmental committee work.
