Job Description And ResponsibilitiesThis is a part-time role as an Occupational Therapist serving several schools located in Bruneau/Grandview, ID.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with pediatric patients with special needs.
  • Part time OT
  • 8-15 hours week
  • Hours include direct and indirect service time, documentation and meetings.
  • 1-2 days per week
  • The position covers a K-12 district with 10 students currently identified ranging from 1st to 9th grade.
Qualifications
  • BS, Master's or PhD in Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited university
  • State License as Occupational Therapist
  • NBCOT License
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • 2 years of experience, preferred
  • Experience working with children required
  • Experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong foundation in Sensory Integration and ability to identify and analyze areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical RequirementsIf applicable, working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities.
