Position: Scientist I, Manufacturing Sciences
How Will You Make an Impact?
As a Manufacturing Scientist I , you will be supporting investigations, and implementation of products and processes. Crafting and reviewing SOPs and Batch Records for accuracy. Assist with technical transfers. Presenting any gaps, errors, or improvements and recommendations. Providing information to analysis and documentation of data summary reports. Models our 4i values, integrity. Innovation, intensity, and involvement. Following our Quality Policy by continuously improving the quality of our products & services and by ensuring global regulatory compliance.
A Day in the Life:
By participating with investigations, and supporting implementation of products and processes. Generating data tables/slides and record drafts. Able to use QMS and other documentation systems with assistance and supporting to investigations and deviations. Accurately collect information and perform calculations within documents. Able to draft documents, e.g., batch records, summary reports, and SOPs. Frequently work at laboratory workstation, operating equipment, and computer workstation.
Education:
BS or higher in chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, or a related field with 0-1-year experience.
Experience:
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment and with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, investigation practices and GMP.
Technical Proficiencies:
Improve GDPs with the ability to learn and improve processes. Possess a strong foundation in general scientific practices, principles, and concepts of your subject area. Applying technical skills to cell culture, media, peptones and aseptic processing to complete assigned work within your functional group. Pay close attention to detail and implement to standards and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to work critical and shifting timelines while demonstrating a 'can do" approach and strong attention to detail required. Good time management skills. Partnership and teamwork with clear oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lift up to 25 pounds and complete gowning certification for powder or liquid. Able to shift schedules required by projects or products
