Technical Sales Representative

Overview:

We’re seeking a Mid-Level Sales Representative located around the Cupertino, California area. The role involves a combination of remote work and travel.

Join Thin Film Technology, a leading distributor of passive electronic components, as a Technical Sales Representative. We are seeking a dynamic individual to drive sales and foster relationships with clients in various industries such as automotive, computer, medical, military, data-communication, ATE, and aerospace markets. Directly interface, develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned accounts for continued business and growth opportunities.

Duties:

  • Engage with customers to establish and expand business relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to comprehend product specifications and capabilities.
  • Provide expertise in customer applications and product specifications, providing valuable insights to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team for product improvement and development.
  • Report on project status and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers.
  • Maintain customer contact information and progress reports.
  • Prepare and utilize documentation on specifications, procedures, work methods, and instructions to ensure quality of the products using TFT's Document Management Systems (DMS).
  • Understanding price points for product introductions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Meticulous focus on accuracy, complimented with effective planning abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thrives in a cooperative work environment, working efficiently with colleagues.
  • Proficient in Office 365, Microsoft Products, and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales expertise.
  • Some college coursework is preferred.
