Think Consulting is Hiring a Data Scientist Near Sugar, TX

Think Consulting is actively seeking a Data Scientist - Business Intelligence to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Sugar Land, TX. This contract-to-hire position requires 2-3 days a week on-site. The role involves developing and managing operational processes across the BI function, collaborating with key business users to improve data management and delivery, and ensuring timely project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage operational processes across the BI function, including project delivery, BI infrastructure, and user support.
  • Collaborate with key business users to identify needs and opportunities for data management and delivery improvements.
  • Design and implement BI infrastructure and tools to support organizational analytics needs.
  • Identify and implement enhancements across the BI environment, including infrastructure, reports, and operational processes.
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis and create concise reports based on business requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of IT/BI experience with significant design and implementation experience in key BI and analytics concepts and technologies.
  • At least 2 years of data science experience.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming (e.g., Python, R).
  • Strong expertise in Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, ODI, Azure Pipelines, MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Synapse, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of manufacturing business processes.
  • Knowledge of big data, NoSQL databases, and data science concepts.
  • Prior experience managing BI teams (multi-site) and establishing maintenance and support processes.
  • Strong communication skills with substantial senior management interactions.
