The Senior Director, Corporate Purchasing drives operational efficiency and cost savings in Company purchasing activities. Working with Business Unit leaders and other key stakeholders, the Senior Director, Corporate Purchasing identifies current and planned procurement needs, provides timely sourcing and strong negotiation expertise, develops strategic sourcing relationships for key services and items, and drives process and control improvements in the Companys Purchasing and Procurement functions.

* Develops, executes, oversees strategic framework to ensure best in class procurement function
* Responsible for delivering cost reductions for the organization in order to support Stride financial objectives and create increased value for stakeholders;
* Provides consultation to department heads through the process of identifying current and planned non-inventory procurement needs;
* Assists and guides the Information Technology, Product Development and Operations teams with technology sourcing needs and contract negotiations;
* Sources, qualifies and enlists preferred supplier base for key goods and services; Manages preferred supplier base vendor relations;
* Identifies and implements user training efforts in support of corporate purchasing policy;
* Works with Finance to ensure smooth downstream efforts in payables, GL posting and month-end close;
* Leads supplier diversity initiative
* Lead efforts to develop and issue senior executive quarterly procurement report (including KPIs, savings, strategic wins, etc.)
* Leads and develops corporate purchasing staff.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:** Directly supervises 4-6 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
**Minimum Required Qualifications****:**
* Masters degree in business or related AND
* Ten (10) years of experience leading a procurement function/organization OR
* Equivalent combination of education and experience
**Certificates and Licenses**: None required.
**OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Strong negotiation skills; demonstrated commercial sense
* Strong contract review experience
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Experience in communicating and presenting to senior management on a regular basis
* Outstanding financial, organizational, and time management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project applications; database software
* Familiarity with ERP systems and general report queries
* Ability to pass required background check
