Working under the supervision of the Director of Business Operations, the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day to day tasks of the Marketing department.

In this hybrid role, we are seeking someone in the NY tri-state who has the ability to come into our NYC midtown office as necessary relating to the marketing dept. However, we are open to global applicants. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Marketing Director on branding design, fundraising research, and strategic outreach
• Assist with all social media platforms and editorial calendars
• Purchase promotional material as required by Marketing Director
• Contribute to TGS website articles and thought leadership pieces

• Brainstorm and create content for social media posts on multiple platforms using Adobe Suite and Figma
• Assist Marketing Director in designing of promotional materials (stickers/flyers/swag/brochures/etc)
• Mailing marketing department materials as requested 
• Curate photo library in Google Photos 
• Coordinate with students on production of school yearbook
• Update website content using Wordpress CMS and across other directories
• Research and help marketing director write original pieces of content
• Explore new opportunities for student recruitment and brand awareness
• Assist with search engine optimization tasks
• Coordinate with In-Country Coordinator on procurement of specific onsite needs including, but not limited to, marketing material and other student related items

• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of all Adobe Platforms and Wordpress CMS
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to keep information confidential
• Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Extremely detail oriented 
• Ability to transition seamlessly between departments and act as liaison
• Ability to work and thrive in a high stress, deadline oriented environment
• Strong writing and creative experience 
• Prior experience with content management systems 
• Flexibility a must, this position may require work to be done outside of traditional working hours due to the location of the school terms
• Bachelor's Degree
