What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer Assistant position at THINK Mortgage, Inc.?
The Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) works directly with and supports the loan origination staff (loan officers, sales managers etc.). By working collaboratively with the loan origination staff and processing team. An ideal candidate will have current product knowledge of loan programs and will be able to communicate loan requirements with customers, processors and loan officers. Additional Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Create marketing materials
- Set up lunches/appointments
- Assist in reviewing mortgage loan application and documentation, which may include phone and computer work, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, overnighting documents
- Review mortgage loan disclosure packages
- Create rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages
- Review documents and entire loan files and work to prevent problems by highlighting deficiencies and then notifying the mortgage loan officer and/or loan processor
- Clarify/correct information and obtain additional information, as necessary, via phone, email,
- General clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors
- Work with management to provide support in various stages and areas of lending and processing as
- Assist in managing a pipeline consisting of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and Non-QM loans
- Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to the borrower and retrieve proof of receipt.
- Track outstanding items on all loan files and follow up with customers to ensure timely receipt of necessary
- Facilitate timely loan closings by working directly with the title company, attorneys, and customers
Travel to Staten Island, NY is necessary at least a few days a week.
