Established in 1994, Third Street Family Health Services is a regional not-for-profit community health center providing medical, dental, OB/GYN, pediatric, community outreach, and behavioral health services across eleven locations in Richland, Ashland, Marion and Crawford counties. Essential Job Duties: 

  • Provide prenatal care to pregnant individuals, including performing physical examinations, assessing fetal well-being, and monitoring maternal health.
  • Conduct labor and delivery care, including assisting with natural childbirth, administering medications or anesthesia as needed, and providing emotional support to laboring individuals and their families.
  • Perform postpartum care, including assessing maternal and newborn health, providing breastfeeding support, and offering guidance on newborn care and parenting.
  • Conduct gynecological examinations, including Pap smears, breast exams, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections.
  • Provide family planning services, including contraceptive counseling, prescribing birth control methods, and performing contraceptive procedures such as IUD insertions and contraceptive implants.
  • Offer health education and counseling to patients on topics such as nutrition, exercise, prenatal care, childbirth preparation, and newborn care.
  • Assess and strategize prenatal patients care plans based on risk assessments. Refer patients when appropriate.
  • Obtain proper consultation via referrals and/or verbal communications for patients being co-managed with Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Hospital experience is preferred. 
  • Current AMCB certification, required.
  • Current Ohio Advanced Practice Nursing License, required.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program and BLS certification
  • One or more years practicing as a CNM.
  • Hospital admitting privileges (or ability to obtain these within the first 90 days)
