Thizzler is a Bay Area based hip-hop media company & distributor with a mission of discovering & developing diamonds in the rough. Founded in 2009, the company has become one of the largest media outlets in hip-hop, distributing & promoting the hottest new acts, creating cyphers & other viral content, and providing hip-hop news to an audience of over 2 million followers. We believe rap is a sport, and we're looking for artists that can compete with the best.
The role:
This role will report directly into the CEO of Thizzler and be the key person to define, implement and manage the organization's operating plan and strategy. This role will be integral to the company as it focuses on efficiency and optimization of current internal reporting models across 3 separate teams; Sales, Media and Partnerships.
We are looking for someone with excellent organization and communication skills, extremely detail oriented and thrives in a collaborative setting. You should be high energy with strong operational skills, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results.
Must have a passion for music!
Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations
- Collaborate and partner with managers across 3 separate teams including Sales, Media and Partnerships
- Organize weekly business readouts
- Document action items and keeps teams accountable to meeting deliverables
- Create and organize weekly team meetings
- Create and organize quarterly business reviews-
- Responsible for creating and coordinating adhoc strategy sessions
- Create readout format in collaboration with CEO and Team
- Collaborate with CEO to refine hiring process
- Collaborate with CEO and team to refine onboarding process and documentation
- Create and organize All Hands meeting
- Create and organize Team events
- Additional responsibilities and expectations will be aligned with CEO once onboarded to the company
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3 years experience in related field
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to move quickly from insight to action
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- This is a collaborative environment so the ability to work with others and navigate complex decision making is a must
