Job Specific Duties
Knowledge of cooking methods and procedures, including various types of preparation and related routines.
5-week menu rotation skills must be able to cook and execute each time every cycle
Familiar with kitchen equipment.
Safe food handling practices: handling food, objects, products, and utensils
Safe knife/sharp handling skills
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with wait staff, cooks, and supervisors.
Foodservice experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations.
Basic reading English, writing and math.
Reviews menus and assembles all items needed for preparation.
Follows standard recipes, production sheets, tallies, and ingredient room sheet to achieve nutritious, high-quality.
Meets time deadlines for trayline, cafeteria service, and catering.
Follows daily prep and pull schedules as indicated in guidelines.

ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
High School Diploma/GED
Physical and Sensory Requirements
Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Lifting, carrying trays, and boxes, up to 25 pounds. Pushing/Pulling Food Hot Boxes up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment. Manual dexterity for the use of kitchen utensils and tools. Visual acuity for reading menus, labels, and directions. Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Taste and Smell to assess food quality, freshness, and adherence to dietary requirements. Ability to distinguish colors for food presentation.
