Trucking Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Direct, supervise and manage both the dispatch and trucking departments along with the driver scheduler, ensuring all policies are followed and company values upheld.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, monitor and evaluate job performance and conduct performance appraisals.
• Train and assist dispatching staff to be customer service oriented.
• Train and assist all team members to provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Counsel and discipline team as needed.
• Ensure all driving shifts are properly staffed.
• Handle complaints or problems where applicable.
• Maintain rapport with employees regarding their day-to-day needs in order to efficiently and effectively schedule all routes.
• Have constant open communication with all other departments to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure drivers have the necessary equipment at the start of each day.
• Monitor driver logs and tickets.
• Effectively leads the team by setting an example in behavior, championing TOS values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years managerial experience required. Experience in the Oilfield industry required.
• Strong customer service background required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must be self-motivated and able to direct one’s own work
• Must be able to use general office equipment (phone, copier, fax machine, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have the ability to “problem solve” as unusual circumstances occur.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Conduct training as needed
• Must demonstrate the ability to be a high performing team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to continuously stand & walk
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Frequently push & pull
• Occasionally bend & stoop
• Requires repeated heavy lifting of up to 75 lbs
• Working outside in variable weather conditions to include heat, humidity, cold & wind.
